Markku Arola

Markku Arola trains individuals at the Safety Center in working in areas with a risk of falling, up to the PVAT 3 level. He holds an HARRT 3 certification, awarded by High Adventure, which represents the highest level of rope rescue readiness. Additionally, Arola provides training at the Safety and Security Center in areas such as smoke diving, chemical accident response, and containment.

Markku Arola has 20 years of experience in the rescue field, with the last 14 years serving as a fire officer. He has also participated in international crisis management operations.

Jani Hakala

Jani Hakala

Jani Hakala has worked in the rescue field for nearly 30 years in various operational roles, including firefighter, fire officer, and administrative positions. Hakala leads supplementary training for industrial and volunteer fire brigades as well as safety training for companies. He is an expert in preparedness and is responsible for supplementary service training provided at the Safety and Security Center.

Jarno Joensuu

Jarno Joensuu

Jarno Joensuu is a fire officer in the rescue field. He is responsible for supplementary training for industrial and volunteer fire brigades, as well as safety training for companies. Joensuu holds an HARRT 3 certification, representing advanced rope rescue readiness, and trains individuals in working in areas with a risk of falling, up to the PVAT 3 level. Jarno Joensuu is also an instructor-in-charge approved by the Traficom (Finnish Transport and Communications Agency) at the Safety and Security Center.

Pekka Mustalammi

Pekka Mustalammi

Pekka Mustalammi is a fire officer with over 20 years of experience in operational rescue work. He holds an HARRT 2 certification for rope rescue readiness and is a qualified diving instructor. At the Safety and Security Center’s training environment, Mustalammi conducts training in areas such as working in high-risk areas (PVAT), smoke diving, and road traffic rescue.

Pekka Mustalammi is a member of the European Union’s CBRN trainer pool, which supports international crisis management missions related to chemical (C), biological (B), radiological (R), and nuclear (N) threats.

Mikko Salo

Mikko Salo has worked in the rescue field for over 20 years as a fire officer. At the Safety Center’s training environment, he is responsible for training in smoke diving, water diving, and working in high-risk areas (PVAT). His extensive operational experience provides a solid foundation for teaching the core principles of rescue operations.

Vesa Vitikainen

Vesa Vitikainen

Vesa Vitikainen specializes in training for handling dangerous individuals and managing Vesa Vitikainen is responsible for customized training programs for companies, focusing on handling dangerous individuals, particularly in customer service situations. The training topics include situational anticipation, threat identification, escalation management, as well as physical protection and disengagement techniques.

Vitikainen has nearly 30 years of experience in police work, including 20 years as a sergeant. He serves as a use-of-force field instructor for authorities and teaches part-time at the Police University College. His extensive practical experience and expertise ensure that company personnel gain effective and realistic tools for preventing and managing threatening situations during the training programs.

Tuomas Vuori

Tuomas Vuori

Tuomas Vuori has 15 years of operational experience in crew and sub-officer roles within the rescue field. His areas of expertise include training for working in high-risk areas (PVAT), smoke diving for industrial and volunteer fire brigades, as well as traffic and fire safety training for companies. In addition, he leads supplementary service training. Tuomas Vuori has experience in international crisis management missions.
