Ballistic House Construction
The Ballistic House Project Moves to the Construction Phase
The 833-square-meter building, located in the Safety and Security Center’s training area, will provide modern learning environments for authorities and defense organizations, while also enhancing Satakunta’s appeal as a provider of international-level training opportunities.
The planned Ballistic House will be a three-story building designed for live-fire training, hazardous materials and explosives handling, and rope and urban search and rescue training.
Training in a closed environment will utilize movable bullet traps, enabling controlled and planned shooting exercises with a limited number of rounds. The ballistic floors of the building will support the use of calibers 9 mm, 7.62×39, 5.56, and 7.62×51 (x53R), with risks and danger zones fully contained within the building.
The estimated completion time for the building is August 2025.
