The Safety and Security Center

The Safety and Security Center provides comprehensive facilities for practicing rescue operations and safety in a realistic environment: we ensure that you act correctly in real-life situations.

Ballistic House Construction

The 833-square-meter Ballistic House, scheduled for completion in August 2025, will enable defense organizations and authorities to train with live ammunition, handle hazardous materials and explosives, and practice rope and urban search and rescue operations.

Chemical Terminal

The chemical accident training field allows for practicing the handling, neutralization, and storage of hazardous materials in a realistic environment.

High-Altitude Operations Simulator

The high-altitude operations field allows for the organization of training sessions from basic techniques to demanding exercises.

Lecture Rooms and Accommodation Facilities

The rescue training area offers lecture rooms and accommodation facilities for its users.

Mock City

The mock city provides conditions for training in an urban environment.

Smoke Diving and Firefighting Field

Smoke dive and firefighting field contains various simulators, such as a gas station, burn pans, a tire fire simulator, and a burn field, provide opportunities for diverse training exercises.

Traffic Accident Training

The traffic accident training field and roads create a realistic environment for practicing traffic accident scenarios.

Prepare for Real-Life Situations

At the Safety and Security Center’s modern and versatile training area, participants practice safety-related skills in conditions that replicate real-life accident, rescue, and environmental threat scenarios. Our training area covers 38 hectares, of which about 8 hectares are built environment.

The Safety and Security Center is owned by a foundation established by the City of Pori. Construction of the area began in 2011 and has been implemented in stages. While investments are ongoing, we can already promise that the Safety and Security Center is Finland’s largest and most versatile safety training facility.
